FAMILY MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of our family is to create a positive, nurturing place of encouragement, order, truth, love, happiness and relaxation, and to provide opportunity for each person to become responsibly independent and effectively cooperative in order to serve worthy purposes in society, to the extent they reasonably can do so.

No family member shall require any other to do or be anything  except to communicate  cooperatively and what is ethically and legally bound.

No family member shall refuse to communicate with (disown) another family member. Refusing to communicate indefinitely is the highest form of immaturity and uncooperativeness regardless of the reason. It is a family cardinal sin. Should one be bitter about another, this is all the better reason to communicate even more to "iron out differences", not less.

When & if Eco Eric has his own family, he hopes his family will cooperatively abide by this.

The previous Talaska mission statement would have been something like this:

Your primary mission in life: Just get any job whether you like it or not and whether it does any good for society and buy a house close to your parents so you can help them when they are in need. Help others in the family, but don't expect any appreciation for it. No, we will not work as a team to accomplish more. I hope you fail so it makes me look better because I'm jealous. But if you do accomplish something, I'm your close relative. Do something very good for one another and not get noticed, even if it saves a life. Do something accidentally bad, even if trivial, and it will be rubbed in your face bigtime, possibly with a disownership.
